Piano Placement Avoid placing your piano near a heating or air conditioning vent or a fireplace. Also try to avoid areas around frequently open doors and windows. A picture window setting can be very beautfiul, but the sunlight and heat exposure may dry the wood of the piano faster and ruin its finish. |

Piano Cleaning The best way to clean a piano is simply with a dry, soft cloth or even a glass cleaner, such as Windex, for high gloss finishes. Never use a dusting spray or furniture polish that contains oil, wax or silicone. Wipe the piano in the direction of the wood grain to avoid fine scratches. Cleaning the inside of the piano is best left to a professional piano technician, especially when trying to get under the strings of a grand. |

Piano Tuning Have your piano tuned at least 1-2 times per year. Brand new pianos or those that have been neglected throughout the years may require 3-4 tunings within the first year of service in order to help stabilize the string tension. |

Piano Regulation Your piano is a machine with several adjustable parts. Adjusting these parts is what we call regulation. Allowing the technician to make these minor adjustments when needed during a service call will not only postpone an expensive complete regulation job, but it will ensure quality and enjoyment of playing the piano for many years. |
